Step-by-Step: Rolling Your Beeswax Candle

1. Warm your sheet

Lay your beeswax sheet out in a warm spot (your body warmth from your hand works). If it’s too cold or stiff, it’ll crack. You want it pliable but not melting. You can also use a hairdryer on a warm setting to soften it up.

2. Place your wick

Position the wick along one edge of the sheet, leaving a bit sticking out the top to light later.

3. Roll with intention

Begin tightly rolling the wax over the wick. Take your time. Every twist of the sheet is a chance to weave in energy. Roll toward you to draw something in, away from you to send something out.

4. Optional: Herb it up

If using herbs, sprinkle a small amount evenly across the inner edge before rolling. Don’t overdo it because too much plant material can cause sparks or uneven burning. I recommend belding your herbs into a fine powder, or use a mortar and pestle.
