Write Your Own Affirmations

An affirmation is a very power thing. It is a short conscious statement/ thought of positive intention, designed to bring you some happiness or strength to get through any type of situation.
If you understand The Law of Attraction, you’ll already know about the power of positivity.

The real power are in the affirmations you create for yourself.
You are declaring firmly and asserting something to be true, which is why is needs to be positive, because your thoughts create your reality.

Louise Hay writes “Every thought you think and every word you speak is an affirmation. All of our self-talk, our internal dialogue, is a stream of affirmations. You’re using affirmations every moment whether you know it or not. You’re affirming and creating your life experiences with every word and thought.”


  1. Keep it short.

  2. Keep it positive

  3. State your intention in present tense.

  4. Use statements like ‘I have’ & ‘I am’.

I am going to receive the promotion.

I am healthy and happy.
Today is going to be a good day.
Every decision I make is the right one for me.
I am financially secure and stable
My relationship is full of love and kindness.

When making your own affirmations, you are asking the Universe, and setting it into stone with what you want to manifest. Using present tense means you are shifting your mind from “I will” into “I have”.

If you say I will get the perfect job, you will still manifest it, you just might not receive it in the near future.
Changing the statement to
I have the perfect job indicates the job you seek is yours right now, and the Universe shall deliver.

When you truly believe in your affirmation, you’ll be amazed by what you can manifest. Go on, have a go!
