Ritual: Dissolving Disputes

Ritual: Dissolving Disputes

These rituals are written so that you can use either fresh, dried or essential oil variations of the herbs and botanicals listed, or a combination of all 3.

If something doesn't resonate with you - then don't use it. Use your intuition and best judgement to add anything else you wish to add to make this ritual unique to your own craft. Remember to use vigilance when using fire in your rituals and to keep safety in mind at all times. Never leave a candle unattended.

You'll Need:

  • Pen + Paper

  • Candle + Match/Lighter

  • Fireproof dish, abalone shell or cauldron

  • Lemon Verbena (Aloysia triphylla)
Helps lift negative energy, thought patterns and behaviours. Believed to harmonise friendships and all matters of the heart.

  • Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)*
Helps relieve tension, anxiety and worries.
*German chamomile is ideal, however it can be substituted for Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelon noble).

Boost Your Ritual:

  • Basil (Ocimum basilicum)
Known for its metaphysical properties of strength, courage and compassion.

How To:

Set yourself up with all your required tools for this ritual.

On a piece of paper, write down your conflict objectively (in a way that is not influenced by personal feelings or opinions). Fold it up.

Mix up your blend of herbs or essential oils, focussing your intention on lifting negative energy surrounding the conflict at hand, and smoothing over any tension and anxieties that have risen.

-If you are using essential oils, or a combination of herbs and oils, mix well and drip 3 drops over your folded paper.
Smear a drop of oil over your candle, and in your mind's eye, release this dispute into the Universe. Let the candle naturally burn out and once it has extinguished, bury the paper in the ground.

Drop another 3 drops of essential oil or herbal blend over the burial site with gratitude that you are now set free from the energy of this dispute.

-If you are using all herbs whether fresh or dried, mix them well together in your fireproof dish. Set it alight and let the flame naturally extinguish. As you do this, in your mind's eye, release this dispute into the Universe. Once the herbs and paper have stopped burning, bury the ashes into the Earth with gratitude that you are now set free from the energy of this dispute.

Take a moment to ground yourself before you return to your day.

Additions: You may consider adding crystals or coloured items to align the energy to the specific issue at hand.

Orange for legal matters.

Red or pink for close relationship or love matters

Green for issues surrounding money and the home.

Blue for studies, travel and matters where you feel like you're not being heard to listened to.

Purple for spiritual development, protection and healing.

Yellow for creativity, productivity and friendships.
